| Kirsten Hoving has loved making art since her youth, when she spent her days copying the drawings of hairstyles in the Breck shampoo ads in Seventeen magazine. From there, she went on to become a respected art historian. Six years ago, she took her first photography workshop to help her be a better scholar and teacher of photographic history. In between writing books and articles and teaching courses about modern art and the history of photography at Middlebury College, she makes photographs of strange and sometimes wonderful things. She is co-founder of PhotoPlace Gallery. |
